Scope and contact
This policy applies to the Soccer Predictions Hub website and Android/iOS apps, including API v2, match analysis, advertising and optional football notifications. The service is operated by Patrick Muhanga / PattoDevOps. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions, consent withdrawal or data requests.
Information we process
The app does not require an account. We may process API requests and technical logs (including IP address, request time, platform and status), a pseudonymous voting identifier, notification installation ID and token, platform, app version and registration time. Favorites, theme choices and trivia progress are stored on your device. Names, email addresses and message content are processed when you voluntarily contact support. Pseudonymous device information can still be personal data.
Why we use information
We use this information to deliver football content, remember preferences, prevent duplicate votes and abuse, diagnose failures, respond to support, deliver notifications you enable and fund the free service through advertising. Applicable legal grounds may include consent for optional notifications and advertising where required, providing the requested service, and legitimate interests in security and reliability. We do not sell personal information.
Advertising and privacy choices
Google AdMob and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions and diagnostic information according to your choices and applicable requirements. The app requests an updated consent status and presents Google’s consent form where required before requesting ads. Where available, Notifications & Privacy > Advertising privacy choices lets you change consent. The app does not require tracking permission to use football features. Optional rewarded ads grant in-app trivia coins only; coins cannot be redeemed for money. No reward is given for clicking an ad.
Optional football notifications
Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service deliver updates only after you enable notifications and grant device permission. The backend stores an installation identifier, FCM token, platform, app version and last registration time to route these alerts. You can switch notifications off in the app or device settings and delete the server registration under Notifications & Privacy. If offline, a server opt-out retries when the app next runs online. Uninstalling is not an immediate deletion signal; invalid tokens are disabled when delivery reports them expired.
Third parties and international processing
Google AdMob / advertising partners, Firebase / Google, Apple, hosting providers, football data providers and support tools may process information to provide their services. Opening externally hosted logos, links or support tools sends a network request to their provider. Their processing may occur outside your country and is subject to their policies and applicable safeguards. Google privacy information: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Retention and deletion
Notification registrations that have not been refreshed for 90 days are removed when scheduled cleanup runs; disabling notifications removes the stored token and stops future sends, and deleting notification registration removes that server record. Technical logs, votes and support records are retained only as necessary for operation, resolving requests, preventing abuse and legal obligations; the exact period depends on the record and hosting configuration. Clear local preferences through app/device/browser settings. Contact support for access, correction or deletion of server-held information; include any relevant support reference or installation identifier you can provide. Some legally required records may need to be retained.
Security and your rights
Requests use HTTPS. Device registration changes require an installation credential, and notification tokens are excluded from API request logs and public model output. No system can guarantee complete security. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent or complaint to your data-protection authority. Contact support to exercise these rights.
Audience and updates
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s information; contact support if this occurs. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date and, where required, an in-app notice or renewed consent. Football data and statistical estimates are not guarantees of outcomes.
